About Jennie
Hello! My name is Jennie Greb, and I am a Portland-based videographer, photographer, sound editor, animator, and general multimedia artist. I find immense joy playing across a wide array of mediums to create media that celebrates nature, social movements, and, more generally, honors the inherent beauty in all life.
I come from a background in education, research, and activism, and this informs all the work I do. From my prior experience, I learned how to use multimedia as a tool to document community-based knowledge, honor the stories often not told, and support movement building. I am also deeply passionate about art education. I teach stop-motion, filmmaking, and foley workshops and worked for the Learning Department at the Portland Art Museum
My work is informed by the legacy of anti-colonial, Marxist, and anti-war theorists, artists, and activists. I dream of a world free from capitalism and will continue to create media for my community as we work towards that future. Among many other projects, I am a co-producer for Resist US-Led War Global’s podcast Counter Attack. I encourage you give it a listen here! https://www.resistusledwarmovement.com/counter-attack.html
